    When I first hired on, GP38's were still the mainstay on the locals. You couldnt beat the sound of a few GP38's climbing the 1% hill into Fordyce with 8000 tons as seen here. Music to my ears until I become deaf

    I dunno, you can't beat the way some of those old SP dash 9's sound at idle. Like a big cammed motor.

      I second you Mad dog, when I first started at SVRR we used a GP38 just one lone GP38. To me nothing beats that GP38 growl.

        I'd like them all to sound like my Ford sedan......QUIET! Twelve hours in eight notch will drive you positively bananas in any engine.
