  • ipad to PC data transfer

Can anyone recommend a method or way to get data (images, PDF,) from an ipad over to a PC (without uploading everything to itunes or the cloud.). I would think surely someone makes a cable to directly connect between the two. (If so, any special software needed for the transfer?). Thanks!

    No cable.

Use Dropbox or iCloud. It's easier. Your request to avoid the cloud is denied. They really don't care about your porn.

Does Itunes force everything to Icloud? Or only if you allow it? Granted I use a mac, but have Icloud set not to sync anything; that way all my stuff is kept local. I do use Google Drive for certain things that I want to have everywhere, and to that extent transferring via the cloud is a no-brainer. I just don't need fifty eleven cloud solutions. One is good, and I got Google Drive.

Well, having Windoze 7 I hooked up the damned thing via USB & got the pictures transferred. I still have some PDF files & a couple of videos I want to transfer. I may have to resort to Dropbox.

FWIW, I think it's a dumbass idea I may be forced to upload stuff to the net to bring it right back down to another device when the damned things are sitting side by side. But what do I know?

            CopyTrans

Transfer iPod to iTunes, copy iPhone to PC and iPad to computer

It is a shareware program but you can activate it as well.
