Mine got stolen.....don't ask how.....if I knew I'd have it back....Oh well...the police put the serial number in the database...if somebody hocks it, I'll get it back...if the perp offs somebody with it...it won't be me they come to blame.sigpic ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ "Come and get them" Leonidas I to Xerxes, at Battle of Thermopylae

I had some 158 gr SWC copper plated slugs I loaded over 12 grs of 2400, they shot pretty good from my 4 5/8" Blackhawk. That load did not lead with a hard cast bullet either. I loaded some 158 gr hard cast with IMR 4227, but have yet to try them.Only 511 ft lbs of Tq and only 1100 degrees EGT, damn, I need more fuel...

Mine is the top one compared to a friend's .44 mag.

* Capacity: 5 Rounds
* Barrel Length: 10.5" / 26.7 cm
* Front Sight: Orange Ramp
* Rear Sight: Adjustable
* Grip: Synthetic
* Action: Single/Double Action
* Trigger: .312 Chrome with Overtravel Stop
* Hammer: Chrome Tear Drop with Pinned Sear
* Frame: X-Large - Exposed Hammer
* Finish: Matte
* Overall Length: 18" / 45.7 cm
* Material: Stainless Steel Frame
* Stainless Steel Cylinder
* Weight Empty: 82oz.
* Scope: Leupold FXII 4x28
I normally shoot either of these rounds:
Hornady 500 S&W 300 gr FTX
Winchester 500 S&W 400 gr. PTHP
Safety goggles and hearing protection is a must. You do not want to fire it on an indoor range.
I took a 300 pound bull elk in Colorado a few years back with it. Roughly 100 yards and one shot using the Hornady 300 gr FTX round.Last edited by Drawbridge; 10-03-2011, 02:52 PM.sigpic
