    Save a little space on the server too.
    Hi TheAbrasiveOne - First I would like to thank you for your Code Suggestion. It is really cool to have these type suggestions.

    Since my Code knowledge is confined to Morse, I asked our Webmaster to explain the effect and he said it was a re-direct to the Forums Page from the Home URL page. I then asked if that would mean that the Fallen Brother Fund banner would not be seen and he confirmed: yes.

    Your [and others] thoughts?

      Just a little satire based on the comment that nobody uses the main page

      But if the banner's are a concern, you could do something like this:

      Code:

      <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
      <html>
      <head>
      <title>Welcome to YardLimits.com - An Online Rail Labor Community</title>
      <meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="10000;url=http://www.yardlimits.com/forums/">
      </head>
      <body>
      <center>
      <i>Yardlimits.com is a proud supporter of the Fallen Brother Fund</i>
      <br>
      <a href="http://www.fallenbrotherfund.com/how-to-donate"><img src="http://yardlimits.com/images/banners/320x330_fbf.jpg"></a>
      <br>
      <a href="http://www.georgemeany.org/~bcantrell/index.html"><img src="http://yardlimits.com/images/banners/hazmat.gif"></a>
      <br>
      <a href="http://yardlimits.com/advertising-info"><img src="http://yardlimits.com/images/stories/ad-banner.jpg"></a>
      <br>
      You will be re-directed in 10 seconds, or click <a href="http://www.yardlimits.com/forums">here</a>.
      </CENTER>
      </BODY>
      </HTML>

      This is quick and doesn't really go along with the overall style of the site, but it would eliminate the news stories from 2009.

      The existing homepage is almost 900 lines of code, it would take me a little while to dissect that and make everything fit together.

      It would look like this:

        Nice

        Awesome!

        Ok - This would work for me but, fortunately, I do not call the shots here.

        So, ASSUMING, we can do this and not have what happened before [which I do not think will happen as this is a heck of a lot less than what we tried to do when all shit broke loose], if the consensus is to do it, I'll get er' done.

          I'm not sure what happened "last time", but this would be super simple to implement.

          As I said, it would not be too difficult to make it look like it fits, this was just a quick-n-dirty example using windows notepad as a code editor.
