Surely that train was pulling a bunch of empties. I would think that many loads off the track would have a bigger impact on the loco itself. I mean the way the first few fell off the side. I would think loads would have pulled the engine over with them.
That tank!!! HOLY SH!T!! It took me looking again to be sure that thing was not on the rail. |

I can just hear some of the dumbass questions the crew got asked.......and the officals trying to blame each other for the derailment......I guess speed...throttle and amps don't really matter here......oh I forgot...it's always the crew's fault.....

For something like forty minutes after stopping is what my RFE said, actual figure subject to my fuzzy memory chips.

Well if I were in the second unit taking a shit, then came out to see that tank car shooting sparks and heading for me, I'd be right back in the bathroom so I dont have to change my pants later.
All sitting there like "I hope its not flammable, I hope its not flammable" |

The reason why NS doesn't want us to service any industries is that it takes work, and work might lead to OT, and we sure as hell can't pay OT because we are in a recession! NS has chosen to dictate to the customer when they need a switch, regardless of what they really need.....And if it pisses the customer off enough to ship by truck...even better! Because NS can concentrate on running its intermodal trains and not let a little thing like railroading get in the way of that!
