Default Watco

Lets hear your Watco stories, good or bad. Tell us about the line you run on, etc.

From what I've seen thus far, their power sucks, they don't get it, and they try to run trains all the wrong ways.

Other then that, I've not the first clue.

I would love to hear how you people like it. Especially from the ones running on the former NS in Michigan. Do you enjoy it, I sure used to when I could: madfawk:

Atleast your tracks are still there. Mine are farm fields, cow paths and housing developments!

Talked with a guy that went WATCO, he said he doesn't like it simply because they haven't the first clue. I asked if it was worse then NS and he said YES.

I run on the former NS line in Michigan. Pretty nice territory. I came laid off from the CN, before that I worked for the CP and CSX.

Guaranteed 40 hours paid, not too shabby of power. Only real downside.....getting into and out of Elkhart lol. Or the reduced speeds on the line.

I have a question for you, then. I was regular on the job that went thru Kalamazoo and picked up on our way to Elkhart up until the end of NS. We usually ended up leaving Botsford with over 130 cars regularly. My question is this. How did you guys get qualified on that territory? I never had anyone from Watco or the Grand Elk ride my train once. It just all ended for us one day and the next day your guys were running on that territory. I hold no grudges against any of you by the way, I blame the NS. So please dont think I am being angry toward you.
