Furloughed out of Pocatello Idaho
Did anyone attend the townhall meeting that took place in Pocatello? If so what was talked about? Anything new anything to lift spirits? Are they going to keep us around. Any info is awesome thanks!

i attended it, from the looks of is loadings are up and the older than dirt guys are starting to retire and the U.P. is scared because they are worrying they wont have the manpower if we all find other jobs, so basically they just told us to hang in there they dont wanna lose us and hopefully it wojnt be too much longer, im about 25-30 guys from getting back to work so im gonna wait it out not much else out there anyway

Hey steve I am right about where you are I am about 30 guys away Im in your subdivision but not Out of Poky. Did they say anything about the termination clause? Did they say they wont use that? I got the Powerpoint emailed to me but it doesnt really help. Do you remember what questions were asked, from the sounds of things it seems like maybe we are heading in the right direction

as far as the termination clause goes i know the company has suspended it till march of 2011, i hope we are back to work by then. regardless of the clause i still dont think they will terminate us they even said at thye meeting its just not sensible w/ how much it costs to train new hires.
