How to post YouTube Video

First, go to http://www.youtube.com and select a video you want to share. To the left of the video, you will see two boxes - one contains the url link and the other contains the embed code. If you want to just link to it, copy and paste the url. If you want the video to display within your post here, copy and paste the embed code on your post.

Edit: Have added YouTube and Google video BB code tags for easy adding of YouTube or Google video. Now along with the above embed way of posting video, you can just paste the video id number from google or youtube within the google or youtube bb code tags

I have made it much easier to post video from video websites such as Youtube. All you need to do is just paste the link of the video and it should display.

Supported video sites so far:

YouTube, Myspacetv, Google Video, Bolt, iFilm, Yahoo, Dailymotion, Amazon and MetaCafe

That is rather handy....but why do two of the same video post ? Was just wondering....have also noticed when copying and pasting just the embed codes, sometimes it doesn't work.....just a mass of codes and no video....gliches somwhere?

I have noticed the double video too. Must be a glitch in the modification. I'll keep looking into it.

The embed code will only work on certain boards. If you look at the bottom before you submit any post. the forum will show you just what codes I have enabled for that particular board. If you see that 'HTML' code is enabled, them you can use the embed code since it is html. If HTML code is off, it means I don't have it enabled for that particular board.

Using the embed code is the best way to post video if I have html enabled on that particular board. The next best way is to use the YouTube button with the Youtube file code. The last remaining way is to just post the video URL and see if the media modification that I installed can pick it up and display it. The last two options will work on any board whether html is enabled or not.

The YouTube double posting of videos should be fixed now.
