Amen to that Brother...probably the two best guitar pickers in the world right there.....Chet said "when I first heard of Jerry Reed" they said "there's this kid from Georgia that plays more like you than you do"...what a loss..I miss both of those guys....I have two LP's they did together "Me & Chet" & Me & Jerry"...great stuff!

Jerry Reed was the reason I wanted to learn the guitar, alas, it wasn't to be. There was an old man where I grew up that could wail on a guitar, but he wouldn't give me any lessons, said he wasn't good enough.

Bought a guitar some time back, tried to teach myself, but I think I destined to just enjoy others talents....

if you like Reed this guy's album is a must have. darrell_toney_and_friends Darrell is a Reed clone & worked in his band for years. "Darrell Toney & Friends" features a lot of the Nashville heavyweight session players & all the songs were written by Jerry Reed...I really can't say enough about it...a really great recording!..I own Darrell's old Clawmaster guitar & he's a really cool guy with a great attitude.

I'll check that out, thanks! Is he one of the guys that owns a guitar from that guitar maker link you posted in another thread? Looks kinda like one of the guys I saw on there.

yeah that's him...he also has some clips on youtube debuting the songs on the album.
