To foresee all sorts of potential problems...not the least of which is when a citizenry is disarmed it is entirely dependent upon, and at the whim of, whatever government or tyrant may be in power. They didn't need to know there would be this or that gun...they had EXPERIENCE with an overbearing government...one they had formerly supported and served...a government that turned against them with a vengeance. They recognized the value and virtue in a population being able and capable of defending itself against unforseen dictators.

The line has been drawn for years, if no one has addressed it, I will. In 1937, or thereabouts, the U. S. government made fully automatic firearms were illegal...hold trigger, it keeps shooting. Fully automatic means more than one round (bullet) for one pull (and hold) of the trigger. Everything else has been pretty much legal...until people started fooling around with magazine size, pistol-grip style handles, "looks like" military assault, and all that artificial BS.

If you truly believe what you say about Obama, you are immensely, extremely uninformed or plain gullible...or you are baiting us.

So, the law-abiding citizen has been determined to be a scourage and he needs to be taken out...and they send in ten or twelve peace officers...well, that's a different story, but more believeable. If they are there to remove the guns at the order of a tyrant...well they get what they get from him.

But back to that Armed Forces thing you said there...if that ever does happen, we have experienced a break down of law and order and he may as well do his best because someone is going to die either way. Didn't you know our constitution closely regulates what our Armed Forces can do within our borders? National Guard is different, but they can be called up by the Governor as well. Different story altogether.

My avatar is titled: "The Eagle Cries" and in the larger version you can see there is a tear at his eye. Behind, in the distance stand the burning Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. The date is obviously September 11, 2001. Had the individuals on any or all of those planes been allowed to exercise their right to carry on public transportation, there might still be one or both towers there. Not so much on account that one of those people might have killed one of the terrorists, or even held them all captive until officers could take them into custody, but because the spineless bastards who perpetrate crimes like this often count on the fact that a segment of the population is disarmed, as on public transportation, in and around schools, and in churches.

Churches. There was a Pastor just murdered in his church within the past few days...where everyone watched without protection. Gutless wonders prey upon defenseless people. They somehow either fear for their own safety or the safety of their mission. Populations possessing the promise of a possible "carrier" experience less crime overall. There are statistics to back that up.

Statistics you will NEVER read in the present-day news media, unfortunately.
