Default Gas is gonna go up no matter what.

Just some obscure facts that the media doesn't seem to care about.

The US oil producers, ie BP RDShell to name a couple, are stacking platforms in the Gulf one after another. Stacking is to mean shutting down production. Friend of mine is a Petroleum Engineer and is being moved around as they close them. The engineers are going to be doing 28 day rotations in the Middle East.

Sounds fishy to me, what with these platforms, ie directional drilling, competeing with the Chinese and Russians that are trying to develope the resources that lie N of Cuba.

These platforms, some are profitable at 20 beans a barrel, some as high as 60.

This couple with our current administrations, and publicly stated I might add, intentions to drive the price up till people can't afford to use fossil fuels to facilitate the switch to alternative energy sources, folks 5 bucks is gonna be a sad reality. Just my opinion...

I see diesel now is the same price as regular unleaded, if not cheaper in some cases. Why is that? It was about a dollar more than super when the talk of the country turning out more diesels. Now? Well that talk has quelled and diesel seems to have dropped. If this isn't proof of scamming by fuel companies, I don't know what is.

The only way the fuel companies will be brought in check is to get away from dependence on their oil!
By WHATEVER MEANS we need to do it. I agree with the thought.
We researched the idea of putting some solar and wind energy on our property to take care of our home, its just too pricey and there isn't a lick of rebate to be had for it. Why isn't our government behind this? You have to question it at some point.

I saw a show about the scheme for alternative energy cars, the only way they are going to get the country to go to alternative/high mileage death traps is to force the price of gas up. Either through taxation or other methods. They are predicting 5 buck a gallon gas in the next 2 years...So the plan will be complete and we'll all be driving 35.5 mpg cars and going green, or going broke. What a plan.

The death traps line is just being fed to everyone by people that are making money on oil. Toyota Prius is one of the best gas mileage cars out there currently and it got a 4 star safety rating.

There is so much in the news today about green policies and getting them in place.

It will be the nail in the coffin for our Country..

I don't think people realize once that is in place, the govt can use green to push or market any agenda they want.

It will kill industries and raise prices beyond affordable.
