Default Steady descent into third world

Love this article...

We better watch our step
No president before has sought to punish his predecessor for policy decisions, no matter how wrong or wrong-headed.

Hey Moms, your making what hair I have left turn even more gray or grey. I would like you to post something like this.

"Everything is peaches and cream". or "Unemployment is down and the market is up" or "Peace love and joy"

I already know the Gov pees down our backs and tells us it is raining.

Just kidding!

We're on unfamiliar ground. No president before has sought to punish his predecessor for policy decisions, no matter how wrong or wrong-headed.

The President doesn't have the power to punish anyone....that's a ludicrous statement that shows your ignorance about how the government works.
What, in your opinion, degree of a crime do you think a president and his administration should be held accountable for? Aren't the laws for elected officials the same as they are for you and I? Wrong or right headed has nothing to do with it. The law is the law....for everyone. The President isn't seeking to punish anyone....that's up to the Attorney General and the Justice Department, who's job is to uphold the laws of the land.
There's nothing unfamiliar about the ground we're on.....when we start ignoring the law for certain chosen people, then, we'll begin the descent into third world status.

The prez has made classified info public and is treading water with our Countries safety!

He has tied the hands of our CIA officials..

Allowing officials to be possibly prosecuted for what Congress had approved as interrogation methods..

Are you seriously going to suggest that Holder will go to war with Obama over something like this? Obama influences the AG, and it will be the AG who heads up this token dog-and-pony show.

Give this speech to Holder and mention names like "Rangel," "Dodd," "Murtha," and "Geithner." Your egalitarian righteousness is falling on deaf ears until you're willing to criticize your own party.

aahhh... but the beauty of being the president is not only do you have the power of being the BOSS and persuading the AGs direction, but you can, at the same time, publicly state your claim to stay out of it and if it turns ugly, you can point the finger at the AG. hello...politics 101.
The pres has amazing powers, then again like you stated, he is not as powerful as we believe sometimes.
Hell, if im not mistaken, in the mid 70s didnt the pres fire the special prosecutor assigned with the task of investigting his admin?
Then politics 101 kicked in again when the Senate hand picked the next pres.

like most laws, there is a proportional relationship to being prosecuted for any offense, major or minor, to how much cash, or political clout you have when you break said laws...
