The vets I know and talk with several times a week are perfectly capable of only being recruited into whatever they choose to be without any outside advice. We've earned the right to do that, and the fact that you question our intelligence is more of an insult than anything some blogger on an extremist right wing website can write. Exactly my point!! The govt has implyed that vet's are capable of being recruited by right wing extreamists. It's is an insult to our vets by questioning their integrity, abilities and faculties.

It's very obvious and well known to vets that some things the government does are an insult to our intelligence.....it's been going on for many, many years.........I'm sure most anyone who's been in the service is very aware of that.

Mom, I can testify first hand that ANY branch of the military would recruit a damn garbage can if it got their numbers up! Not all of the people who join the military do so for the noblest of reasons! Much like the railroad, one soldier is only a warm body to fill a billet for them, and some who went in there not wound too tightly to begin with only come out that much worse.......

I feel that alot of us, me included, fit this description. The need to protect our homeland and be on the look out for possible intrusions, however at the same time we must protect everyone's rights.
Now I am a little more dedicated to the protection of these rights than some and do not wish to give them up for my kids so I can be a little safer now. However, we cannot let these same rights and protections that we enjoy, be used to hide dangerous activity.

Dude getting on a plane with a one way ticket and has several thousand strapped to his thigh........ might be a good idea to look at him closer. Even if our own media and certain civil rights groups say this is wrong, I disagree.
