Default Leave of absence

Hey guys have a question, got called back from furlough and I have a new job but I am not sure if I should return to RR just yet. Do I have a chance to take a leave of absence which will buy me some time till i can see if this is going to be a long term thing. What do you need to do to began to process of LOA. Whatare reasons you can take LOA. Any help on what to do to delay my return Really leaning toward not returning but i at least want to claim all my PLD days before I decide.

Don't leave your new job! The Bnsf is going to furlough your ass again in no time!!!!!!!! change your recall to a terminal that you can't hold if you don't want to get called back next time.

Come back to BNSF and continue your seniority building, so in future years, you won't get furloughed anymore. Giving up the job is silly, even though you get jerked around for a few years. Most of us went through it, and now we are sitting good!

There is a guy here at Northtown that took a job at a trucking company while furloughed, and he got called back in the middle of his CDL training. If he quits the trucking place now he has to pay his training back, thousands of dollars. If he can hold out for a few months there's no penalty. He must've pleaded his case pretty good cuz they moved him to the 5 board (cutoff), so he should be ok to return back once his other job will cut him loose.

I have been taking Personal Leave of Absences for the last year getting them extended at the end of each 90 day period. Once I get called back, I have until the end of that period to return to work but CAN NOT EXTEND OR RESUBMIT FOR PLA AFTER RECALLED.
Give it try though, all they can do is tell you no.

It took alot of phone calls to Kansas, but because of present circomstance of working overseas, they aloud me to do this

Find a way to "hurt yourself" off the job after you come back and take your return to work tests

I wonder if he could take a "religious pilgrimage" or something and needs a leave of absence. I say this because coming after him for religion is discrimination and the BNSF may grant him some time. However, you may have to fly to Israel to prove your point, but Easter is coming up.

On my road you can only get an LOA for taking a company job, or a government job.
