It would take a few years and few version numbers from this point, but look at Android. Version 2 Donut, (The present ver, is 1.5 cupcake) is coming to several phones all at once this fall. With that and the resurgence of Palm OS, Windoze Mobile is doomed! And I could not be happier!
Oh, OS/2 is still available, it's now called eComStation.

Nah, I didn't know about OS/2, so who maintains it? Can't be IBM! I thought OS/2 was far superior to the offerings of Micosh*t when it was available ten-twelve years ago.
I was thinking MAC OS X but I didn't write it down when I wrote the comment.
UNIX is far superior. Much more control over programs, users, and system! Most of the machines I maintained at work were some variant of UNIX. Too bad for the bad hacks. They haven't had much luck with crashin' MAC's

, but they are out there!
I was workin' on maintaining the servers for FAA's traffic management and the Host Interface Device (HID) and they all began with OS/2 machines. But, IBM dropped it then they got SUN workstations with UNIX but there was a hardware problem with those initial conversions. They would lock up, crash some security kernal leaving us with no way in! Cost 'em a fortune to redo all the hardware!
